Job Description:

Position:                       Finance Manager

Purpose of the Job
The Finance Manager will manage financial, accounting, treasury and procurement processes in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. S/he will design, implement, and supervise adherence to financial policy, budgets, and internal control measures.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide management support and financial guidance.
  • Oversee the financial management reporting
  • Coordinate the annual forecasting and budgeting process
  • Review and prepare all capital expenditure requirements for approval by the President
  • Ensure appropriate legal review of contracts and solicit internal and external legal advice when required
  • Oversee preparation of tax returns and review final returns prior to submission to the tax authorities
  • Coordinate with auditors, both external and internal, for the review of accounts
  • Ensure timely submission of all reporting requirements including statutory accounts to local authorities
  • Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to meet IFRS and Ethiopian Accounting Standard
  • Set relevant KPIs to improve working capital (inventory, receivables, payables)
  • Develop and oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes with the goal to achieve best practices, accuracy and efficiency
  • Deliver top quality service to both internal and external customers
  • S/he will develop and implement financial and related procedures in compliance with internal policies;
  • oversee the efficient, compliant management of the funds; manage payroll; draft periodic and annual reports on financial status of the business expenses and budget information; support the development of documentation and written materials relating to the business; and respond to inquiries on the status of financial information.

Job Requirements:

Education
  • BA Degree in Accounting, or other related subject
Experience
  • 5 years’ experience at managerial level
Knowledge and Technical Skills
  • Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Mastery of financial analysis and accounting concepts
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Excel and other applications
  • Mastery of financial analysis and accounting concepts
  • Thorough understanding of economic, market/commercial and legal environment
  • Understanding of credit vetting processes
  • Reporting skills (documents & presentations)    
  • Very good Public speaking skill
  • Works well independently and under pressure
