Job Description:

Programme Officer

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire a Programme Officer that provides, within the framework of the Governance and Democratic Participation Programme (GDPP), strategic and technical support in dose cooperation and coordination with relevant national, regional, and local stakeholders, on the implementation of the programme elements as well as for the design and delivery of specific activities targeted at building capacities for the House of Federation as an Implementing Partner.

Contract type: Service Contract (SB-4)-Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.
Duration: One year (renewable).

Qualification and experience: Advanced University Degree in law, federalism, political science, international relations, development studies, conflict resolution or equivalent field.

Interested applicants must have at least four years of experience in programme/project management preferably in governance programmes and/or projects; experience in multi stakeholder facilitation and consensus building; good understanding of UNDP programming modalities, particularly in governance programmes and/or projects; demonstrable ability to work in a team environment, and to strengthen all team members through collective action and Individual initiative; and Experience in the usage of computers and office software package (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
