EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

LonAdd HR Consultancy Plc (www.lonadd.com) is a Recruitment & Outsourcing Company based in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, with branch offices in Dukem and Hawassa.  We are working on behalf of “a Private Equity firm” based in Addis Ababa

About the Organization

Responsible for all accounting, external audit, tax, financial reporting, stakeholder reporting, office operations, regulatory compliance and general infrastructure needs for the company and related entities.  In addition, the Compliance Office/Manager is responsible for managing all administrator, legal and other service relationships of the firm.  The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Finance / Accounts

  • Create and/or maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and establish cost controls to manage to budget
  • Develop and/or maintain accounting controls and policies and procedures
  • Coordinate finance activities including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting or other reporting requirements by liaising with the service providers
  • Ensure that accurate, timely analysis and reporting of financial information is in line with the firm’s goals and objectives
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements; supervise audits and tax matters
  • Cash management, including monitoring cash balances, capital requirements, investment, manage reserves, etc.

Investment

  • Oversee distributions and other communications with stakeholders
  • Identify and stay abreast of accounting, tax and regulatory changes that may impact the firm
  • Assist with stakeholder relationships, meetings, consultancy activities
  • Firm’s accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and other financial analyses as required
  • Oversee client company valuations
  • Work closely with external third parties, including auditors and tax professionals, attorneys and stakeholders
  • Collection, review and maintenance of client company financials and reporting
  • Assist with investments, monitoring of client company performance, stakeholders relations
  • Manage investment flows

Compliance

  • Oversee regulatory compliance including taxes
  • Ensure firm’s operations include compliance with Environmental Social and Governance policies and procedures and monitor implementation
  • Contribute to briefing and management of external legal counsel in preparation and review of complex legal agreements, including stakeholder agreements and client company documents
  • Serve as the firmls AML/KYC lead

Administrative

  • Oversight of various firm administrative and office needs, including benefits and other aspects of human resources, IT, facilities, office leases, supply agreements, office management

Other

  • Support the General Manager in all aspects of the execution of the firm’s strategy
  • Support the team with all operational matters related to the sourcing, documentation and managing of firm’s activities

 

Job Requirements:

Experience and qualification

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Management, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • The position must meet above mentioned criteria for which the candidates must be with 5 years or more experience.
