Position title: Logistics Officer - Mekele PDP
Duty Station: CRS/Mekele Field Office
Employment Term: Indefinite period
Reports To: PDP Manager

Purpose of the Position: You will coordinate the implementation of all day-to-day logistics activities to ensure all programs and operations have the goods and services needed when they need them in support of high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable. Your knowledge and experience will allow you to coordinate commodity and logistics needs and challenges and the implementation of solutions, as you apply the principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability

Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • MA/MSc Or BA /BSc Degree in a relevant field
  • 3 years of relevant experience is required for MA/MSc of which 1 year is in a senior position, OR
  • 6 years of relevant experience is required for BA/BSc of which 1 year is in a senior position
  • Knowledge of political dynamics along the chain, infrastructure, market knowledge, as well as related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Experience with commodity tracking systems is a plus.

  • Good planning, coordination, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Good analytical skills with ability to make independent judgment and decisions
  • Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics
