Training and Research Officer

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire a Training and Research Officer who will be responsible for coordinating the skill trainings and research affairs that are designed under the different programs. The Training and Research Officer will have a responsibility of technically guiding the operational aspect of the training programs and facilitating the research components of the programme. The Training and Research Officer will report to the Forestry Program Specialist and NPC as well as the National Climate Change Specialist at UNDP while planning, monitoring, delivering and reporting of the project deliverables in research and training.
Contract type

Service Contract (SB4) - * Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality
Duration: One year (renewable).

Qualification and experience: Master’s Degree in Forestry, Agroforestry, Natural Resource Management. Natural Resource Economics or in related fields.
Interested applicants must have at least 4 years of professional training and research management experience in the field of Forestry, Agroforestry, Natural Resource Management and Natural Resource Economics; demonstrated experience of working with multi-stakeholder teams, ideally representing different government and non-government agencies; experience at managerial level in developing effective strategic plans and strengthening the capacity of public bodies and in project delivery support and effective management of interactions in a complex work environment.
