SGP Program Assistant- UNOPS-Global Environment Facility-Small Grants Programme

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) has established the Small Grants Programme (SGP) in Ethiopia to support projects consistent with global environmental priorities. The SGP supports activities of NGOs and Community-Based Organisations towards climate change abatement, conservation of biodiversity, protection of international waters, reduction of the impact of persistent organic pollutants and prevention of land degradation while generating sustainable livelihoods. The SGP is hosted by the UNDP in Ethiopia and implementation will be funded by the Global Environment Facility.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on behalf of the UNOPS-GEF-SGP, is seeking to hire Program Assistant, who provides administrative and financial support to the national SGP team.

Contract type: Service Contract(SB3) - Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.
Duration: Initially for One Year
Qualification and experience

Minimum of first University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics or an environmental science field. Interested applicants must have at least 5 years 5 years of relevant experience in office management, including financial reporting; Good communications and interpersonal skills essential; Excellent drafting and analytical skills required. Good knowledge of budget control and financial management & Excellent knowledge of MS Office, database and Internet use.
