UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (UNDP)

Programme Assistant (GEF) - two positions The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)is seeking to hire two Programme Assistant (GEF) who will be responsible for carrying out a lull range of programme support tasks involving diverse work processes and methods which require interpretation of subject matter and application of rules and procedures to a wide variety of activities. The Programme Assistant promotes a client, and results-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations and ensures high quality and accuracy of work. The Programme Assistant works in close collaboration with the other Programme Assistants, Administrative Associate as well as staff in the Regional Centre, GEF HQs, other RCUs and UNDP HQs as required.

Contract type: Service Contract(SB3) - *Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.
Duration: One year (renewable).
Qualification and experience: B.A/B.Sc. Degree in Environmental Management, Engineering or other closely related fields.

Interested applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field with excellent communication skills, both written and oral and computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power point, Internet and email-Outlook, Management software and databases).Knowledge of ATLAS would be a strong asset.
