Social Media Expert (Elections)

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire Social Media Expert (elections) to support the implementation of SEEDS (Supporting Elections for Ethiopia’s Democratic Strengthening) activities. Under the direct supervision of the NEBE communications Specialist, the incumbent will provide technical assistance to NEBE on all substantial and operational matters pertaining to the management of social media communications.

Contract type: Service Contract (SB4) - * Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.
Duration: 1 year

Qualification and experience: Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in, Communications, Political Sciences, International Relations or related field.
Interested applicants must have a Minimum 4 years with bachelors and 2 years with Masters’ degree specialized experience in national context in communication, of which 2 specifically working with social media; extensive experience in drafting official documents and content for social media to be circulated at senior level and publicly, experience in the media industry is an asset; experience of working with UN administration and familiarity with UN policies of electoral assistance and understanding of UN/UNDP programming arrangements is an asset.
